I, Madimakatso Melita Molefe, was born on November 23, 1947, in Khanyane, Lesotho. I was the beloved only child of both the late Johannes and Matshehlana Mofono.

I completed my matriculation at Peka High School in Lesotho. With great ambition, I moved to Manzini in Swaziland to train as a nurse.

I married Molotsi Jacob Molefe at a prime age, and together we were blessed with two beautiful daughters.

I started my nursing career at Edenvale Hospital, then transferred to Tembisa Hospital when it was established. I later moved to Sebokeng Hospital before returning to Tembisa Hospital, where I eventually retired.

I had a passion for travel, embraced life with joy, and cherished the simple pleasures, especially delicious food—“madijo ngwana wa moreneng.”

As a mother and grandmother, I have always been loving and devoted to my family. My grandchildren affectionately called me “Nkgono Mama,” a title I held dear.

I have lived a fulfilling life, guided by faith, and I am content knowing that I have run my race. I was called home on December 19, 2024.

I will be dearly missed by my daughters, Moromi and Motshegwa; my grandchildren, Gorogang, Thabang, and Tshegofatso; as well as my extended family. They will forever cherish my memories and the lessons I shared with them.
